Crafting Corner

October 1, 2019

Hi Everyone

Another week has flown by and I got to see the Downton Abbey Movie this week, and SWEET MERYL it was absolutely beautiful! It was as perfect as I had expected and it was up there as my potential Movie of 2019, I'm considering going again to see it I loved it that much!

Recently I have been doing a lot of crafting as a way to relax and de stress, I've always been a crafter and loved doing art at school but being an adult means that I don't always have the spare time to sit down and make something. I mostly love to crochet, cross stitch and draw (I am the world worst painter) so mostly wool based crafts are my jam! There's something so calming and therapeutic about sitting down with a ball of wool and my crochet hook whilst having a mug of tea and whacking on the netflix. So far I have made booties for people as presents and a cushion cover. My current crochet project is a baby blanket to sell on Mine and my Mum's Etsy shop (she knits, I crochet) and its going on enough. I wish it was neater but I suppose I can tidy it up at the end! I also like to cross stitch people gifts depending on what there interests and put them in a nice frame, its a very personal present that costs under 5 dollars to make, because we are trying to be better at saving dollar but want to give good gifts.

I have been doing more crocheting recently than other crafting projects because me and Kathy both do wool based crafts, make blankets and then sell them on etsy which has been surprisingly successful and we have sold a few blankets!

Even when I start school (which I am so excited for) I will try my best to keep crafting because its a great stress relief and very therapeutic when life is very stressful. I also love making people gifts because its a great way to show gratitude and love for people!

I just thought it would be fun to share this hobby of mine with y'all and how I love a good craft (going to Michaels or Hobbycraft is like going on a drugs run for me!) and I hope its maybe inspired you to go out and try a new craft/hobby!
